DENTAL IMPLANTS ARE THE BEST SOLUTION FOR MISSING TEETH

A Dental Implant is a titanium or zirconia screw, both materials biocompatible, that works as an artificial root of a missing tooth or teeth, it holds a single dental crown or bridge.

WHO IS A CANDIDATE TO HAVE DENTAL IMPLANTS?

Any person who has a missing tooth or teeth is a candidate for an implant, which purpose is to replace them, without affecting the neighbor teeth. The reason we highly recommend Dental Implants is because they are less invasive than Dental Bridges.

WHAT DO I NEED TO GET A DENTAL IMPLANT?

Since the Implant is placed into the bone, we must evaluate if the patient has enough bone to receive the implant, with a Clinic Exam, X-Ray, and 3D CT Scan.

There are some patients that because of their non-controlled medical conditions like, (Diabetes, High Blood pressure, Cancer, HIV) cannot be able to start the treatment until it is controlled.

Also, the take of some specific medication for Osteoporosis & Cancer totally contraindicate the surgical procedures not just the implants these are called BIPHOSPHONATES.

HOW DOES THE TREATMENT WORK?

Phases

1ST STAGE: IMPLANT PLACEMENT

Under local anesthetic, the dentist places the Dental Implant into the Jaw Bone with a very precise surgical procedure based on a digital planning. The implant remains covered by gum tissue while fusing to the Jaw Bone by osseointegration.

2ND STAGE: CROWN PLACEMENT

After 4-6 months of healing, under local anesthetic, the implant is exposed by a little incision and a healing post is placed over the top of it so that the gum tissue heals around the post.

Once the gum has healed, an implant crown is fabricated and screwed down to the implant
